Are eSIMs available for the Philippines?
We offer both Single Country eSIMs that offer coverage in the Philippines only, as well as Regional eSIMs that offer coverage in the Philippines in addition to several countries in the surrounding area. For a list of the applicable countries, simply click on our ‘South East Asia’ Regional plans for more info. You will need to determine which of the above eSIMs will work best for you based on your trip requirements.
The best eSIM for the Philippines depends on your trip requirements. If you are only planning on traveling to the Philippines, then a Single Country eSIM for the Philippines will work best for you. If you are planning on traveling to additional countries in the region besides for the Philippines, a ‘South East Asia’ Regional eSIM would be preferable.
A Regional ‘South East Asia’ eSIM plan will cost more than a Single Country ‘Philippines’ plan, as the Regional plan offers coverage in the Philippines as well as the surrounding area. In addition, your plan’s pricing will be determined based on the projected amount of data necessary for your trip requirements. For example, a 1 GB plan will run much cheaper than a 10 GB plan.
In order to purchase a Philippines eSIM for an iPhone, you will first need to determine the type of plan required. If you are only planning on traveling to the Philippines, then a Single Country eSIM for the Philippines will work best for you. If you plan on visiting the Philippines in addition to other countries in the region, a ‘South East Asia’ Regional plan may be a better choice. Once you are able to make that determination you can either click on ‘South East Asia’ for a Regional plan, or simply type ‘Philippines’ in the search bar.
We always recommend installation prior to departing for your destination, while we only recommend activating your eSIM upon arrival to your destination. You can always choose to install your eSIM before your trip begins, but activating it should only be done upon arrival. This will help ensure you avoid any unwanted roaming charges incurred by your primary carrier.
